Represented a major refinery in the defense of a significant personal injury matter arising from the failure of a high-pressure component at the refinery. The case resolved through the refinery resolving the case at an early stage. The firm then obtained full recovery of funds paid, plus attorneys' fees and costs, from the component supplier.
Represented a component supplier in a commercial product liability matter, in which over $350,000 in economic damages were sought. Following the filing of a procedural motion at the time of first appearance, the case resolved for a $5000 payment by the client's insurer to the Plaintiff.
Represented the purchasers of a construction company in an action for breach of contract brought by the sellers, in which the sellers were seeking $290,000 in damages for the unpaid balance of the purchase. Through discovery, the firm established the existence of deliberate fraud by the sellers in conjunction with the sale, as a result of which, the Plaintiff's voluntarily dismissed the case, with prejudice.
