William L. Portello is an experienced civil litigator, specializing in personal injury claims, subrogation and construction defect claims. With a caseload heavily comprised of complex multi-party litigation, Will is dedicated to developing cost effective and a swift resolution of all legal disputes. Will brings a real-world, hands-on approach to litigation, with a solid background in construction, aviation, transportation, and medical issues.

Will has been involved in litigating personal injury matters since 1994. His cases include wrongful death matters, catastrophic brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and issues related government tort liability.

Will has extensive experience in the field of automotive transaction litigation, involving handling Consumer Legal Remedies Act and Unfair Business Practices claims arising from vehicle sales and leases.

In the area of construction defect litigation, Will represents contractors in the defense of claims involving exterior sheathing, soils issues, concrete, waterproofing, HVAC systems, framing and windows. By working closely with claims representatives, he ensures that his clients' interests are protected, while controlling costs by ensuring the timely involvement of experts and consultants.

He is admitted to practice in the states of California and Oregon, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of California and the Eastern District of California.

Will is a member of the Association of Defense Counsel, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, National Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Yolo County Bar Association.

Will was born and raised in Davis, California. He attended the University of California, Davis, and graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law.

Will holds a Private Pilot Certificate, Commercial Drivers' License, and is a former Emergency Medical Technician.
