History of the Firm

GUICHARD, TENG & PORTELLO was founded in 1996 by Matthew P. Guichard, formerly the Managing Partner of the Sacramento Office of Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley. Since its inception, GTP has focused first and foremost, on the interests of the client. Our goal is to let our clients decide how their cases should be run. Moving away from billing practices often seen in large law firms, GTP's attorneys are mindful of the economics of litigation and legal representation.

GTP has a well-rounded blend of attorneys with experience and expertise in many areas of the law. In addition to English, GTP attorneys and staff are fluent in the Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese languages. To better serve and understand our clients, we are constantly adding attorneys and staff with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
